The forthcoming Easter weekend marks one of the busiest travel periods of the year. As is now commonplace, there are extensive engineering works taking place on the London Underground and the UK’s national rail network which may affect travel times to London’s airports.
In addition to the works listed below, there are no trains to and from London Euston over the weekend.
The Heathrow Express will be operating all weekend but with some amendments to timetable and service intervals. More from Heathrow Express.
There are also timetable changes to Heathrow Connect services.
The Piccadilly Line is due to operate normally throughout the weekend.
There will be very significant disruption to local and long distance First Great Western services from London Paddington over the weekend with some lines closed and potentially significantly longer journey times due to diversions. This is due to work on the Crossrail project and the ongoing remodelling of Reading station.
No service changes have been published by the Gatwick Express.
Some Southern Railway services will be subject to alteration.
The Jubilee line will be closed between London Waterloo to Wembley Park from Good Friday 3 to Easter Sunday 5 April. The Jubilee line will also be closed between London Waterloo and Stanmore on Monday 6 April.
The Docklands Light Railway will be closed between Canning Town and Beckton on Saturday 4 April and Easter Sunday 5 April.
On the Stansted Express a Saturday service will operate on Good Friday 3 April and Easter Monday 6 April. Early morning services before 08:20 on Easter Sunday will be diverted.
