Air Traffic Controllers in Italy are due to take industrial action over a period of four hours from 12:00 to 16:00 GMT on Monday 20 March 2017.

This is likely to cause disruption with delays and cancellations.  As a consequence the following airlines have issued guidance for affected passengers.

It is also understand the certain unions represent airport workers are also taking industrial action on Monday. As such, there may be disruption to some airport ground services.

Please note that this page does not provide live flight information so any cancellations listed are proactive cancellations made in advance, and do not necessarily include any delays/cancellations made on the day.

Alitalia

Alitalia has cancelled about 40% of its flights across its network on Monday 20 March. These include the following flights to and from London:

AZ215 London City – Milan Linate
AZ216 Milan Linate – London City
AZ221 London City – Milan Linate
AZ222 Milan Linate – London City

AZ204 Rome Fiumicino – London Heathrow
AZ207 London Heathrow – Rome Fiumicino
AZ211 London City – Rome Fiumicino
AZ212 Rome Fiumicino – London City

Alitalia has implemented flexible rebooking policy and potentially affected passengers have to option to change their flights to a later date, subject to certain conditions. Full guidance is available on the Alitalia website.

British Airways

BA has cancelled the following flights on Monday 20 March:

BA588 – London Heathrow – Milan Linate
BA589 – Milan Linate – London Heathrow
BA562 – London Heathrow – Milan Linate
BA563 – Milan Linate – London Heathrow

BA554 – London Heathrow – Rome Fiumicino
BA555 – Rome Fiumicino – London Heathrow
BA2540 – London Gatwick – Rome Fiumicino
BA2541 – Rome Fiumicino – London Gatwick

In addition, BA3279 London City – Florence has been rerouted to Pisa.

If your flights is cancelled you are entitled to be rebooked on alternative flight or a refund. BA has also implemented a flexible rebooking policy and if you are travelling to Italy on Monday 20 March you can rebook to the same destination on a later flight by 22 March 2017.

easyJet

easyJet has not offered any specific rebooking options but the latest travel information can be viewed on the easyJet website.

Ryanair

Ryanair has published a list of cancelled flights on 20 March 2017. At the time of writing, there do not appear to be any cancellations to/from London.
