Air Traffic Controllers in some regions of Italy are due to take industrial action on the afternoon of Sunday 28 May 2017, the weekend of the late May bank holiday in the UK.
The strike will take place between 1pm and 5pm local time. This is likely to cause disruption with delays and cancellations, albeit on a smaller scale than originally thought. As a consequence the following airlines have issued guidance for affected passengers.
Please note that this page does not provide live flight information so any cancellations that will be listed are proactive cancellations made in advance, and do not necessarily include any delays/cancellations made on the day.

Alitalia
In addition to industrial action by Air Traffic Controllers, certain unions representing Alitalia staff are also due to take industrial action between 10am and 6pm.
Alitalia has published guidance on its website which includes details of cancelled flights.
The list of cancellations includes flights between London Heathrow and Rome and London City and Milan Linate as well as extensive network wide cancellations:

British Airways
BA had originally planned to operate a full schedule to Italy on Sunday, with some flights to Northern Italy retained to avoid the period of industrial action.
However, due to its worldwide computer systems outage on Saturday which has led to a substantial number of cancellations on Saturday there may well be residual delays and cancellations on Sunday.

easyJet
easyJet has advised it has cancelled 14 flights to and from Italy on Sunday. There’s more guidance on the easyJet website.
Ryanair
Ryanair has yet to publish any guidance for passengers.

Did the strike actually go ahead. Due to leave Verona Verona airport on the 28th but flight put to Weds 31st.
The airport was very very quiet on the Sunday, my brother in law had to take hire car back, so it must have gone ahead as it was so quiet!
