The release of a Christmas film by airlines and airports is now a regular fixture in the festive calendar. In previous years some have attracted audiences in the hundreds of millions.

Here is our collection of films released by the world’s airlines and airports for 2017 which we will update up to Christmas Eve.

As ever, these films are a timely reminder of the value of aviation in bringing people together.

For a retrospective view, here’s our collections from 2016,2015, and 2014.

Heathrow Airport: It’s A Wonderful Flight

First off the block is London Heathrow with the return of the teddy bears Doris and Edward in “It’s A Wonderful Flight”.

To the soundtrack of Petula Clark’s “Couldn’t Live Without Your Love” we see the development of the relationship between two bears from 1967 to day. There’s a lot of good historical detail, in particular retro BOAC (one of the predecessor airlines to British Airways) aircraft and uniforms.

Once again, the concept was created by the agency Havas London, animated by The Mill, and produced by DOM&NIC at Outsider Productions.

Produced by New York based agency Figliulo&Partners this is a first joint film by transatlantic partners Delta and Virgin Atlantic. It adopts a slightly darker tone to the traditional Christmas film, featuring two estranged brothers reunited on Christmas Day.
