Here’s our guide to flying Qantas Airways from London:
London Airports: London Heathrow Terminal 3
Routes: Perth (non-stop); Singapore-Sydney
Aircraft: Airbus A380; Boeing 787-9
Lounges: Qantas has a dedicated departure lounge at London Heathrow Terminal 3. This is located a short walk after security. Under Oneworld alliance lounge access rules eligible passengers can also use the lounges of other Oneworld alliance members. In reality, Qantas passengers are only going to be interested in the Cathay Pacific lounges.
Eligible Qantas passengers can also use the American Airlines Arrivals Lounge on arrival at London Heathrow.
Codeshare Partnerships: Qantas has an extensive codeshare partnership with Emirates on routes from London to Australia via Dubai. Qantas also has a limited codeshare patnership, when connecting to/from Qantas, on selected British Airways short-haul routes in Europe.

Developments to watch out for: Qantas is due to decide by 31 March 2020 whether to place an order for modified Airbus A350-1000 aircraft capable of flying from London to the East Coast of Australia non-stop. This is currently subject to business case approval, regulatory approval and negotiations with trade unions. Should Qantas go ahead with the order non-stop flights should launch in 2023. Qantas has sufficient slots at London Heathrow to operate up to four non-stop flights a day to Australia.
