January 2020
15 January 2020 – American Airlines and British Airways prepare to co-locate at New York JFK Terminal 8 from 2022, following the planned demolition of BA’s current home Terminal 7.
22 January 2020 – The UK’s Competition & Markets Authority continues is ongoing review of American Airlines and BA’s transatlantic joint-business.
29 January 2020 – British Airways delays its planned launch of Boeing 787-10 services from London Heathrow to Atlanta until March 2020. BA also plans to deploy the Airbus A380 to Las Vegas in January 2021 for the Consumer Electronics Show.
February 2020
5 February 2020 – American Airlines launches a new codeshare partnership with GOL in Brazil. Norwegian withdraws plans to operate flights from London Heathrow in summer 2020.
12 February 2020 – The founder of JetBlue David Neeleman prepares to launch a new US domestic airline Breeze Airways. The Marriott Renaissance opens in Chelsea, New York.
19 February 2020 – British Airways delays the launch of its first Boeing 787-10 aircraft until late March.
26 February 2020 – American Airlines & Qatar Airways reinstate a codeshare partnership as a precursor to close co-operation between the two airlines.
4 March 2020 – Delta launches London Heathrow – Seattle.
11 March 2020 – The US prepares for an outbreak of Coronavirus.
