Delta Air Lines has confirmed its London Heathrow transatlantic route network for the next 12 months.
Currently, Delta is operating daily flights from London Heathrow to Atlanta and New York JFK. This will continue for the winter season. These routes will increase to twice daily from the start of the summer 2021 season on Sunday 28 March 2021.
Delta will also return to Boston from 3 September 2020. This route will initially operate five times weekly. It will increase to daily in the summer 2021 season.
Flights to Detroit and Minneapolis Saint Paul will remain suspended until summer 2021.
Summer seasonal routes to Portland and Salt Lake City will not operate next year. This means that the earliest date they could return is late March 2022. BA has also cancelled plans to fly to Portland.
Delta will of course continue to codeshare with Virgin Atlantic which is progressively increasing its transatlantic route network. Virgin is currently flying to Los Angeles, Miami and New York JFK with Atlanta to follow in September. In common with Virgin Atlantic, Delta is operating from London Heathrow Terminal 2 for the foreseeable future.
