British Airways has updated its plans to co-locate with American Airlines at New York JFK Terminal 8.
Earlier this year, BA and AA confirmed long anticipated plans to co-locate all flights between London and New York JFK at Terminal 8 from December 2022.
BA’s current home at New York JFK Terminal 7 will close. Terminal 7 will be demolished to allow a new terminal to be constructed on its site.
Planned Flight Moves
The airline has today, Thursday 16 June, updated its planned flight moves from Terminal 7 to 8.
From Thursday 17 November 2022, the last BA flight of the day from London Heathrow to New JFK, BA183, will arrive at Terminal 8.
From Friday 18 November 2022, the first BA flight of the day from New York JFK to London Heathrow, BA178, will depart from Terminal 8.
From Thursday 1 December 2022, all BA flights between London airports and New York JFK will operate at Terminal 8.
This a clearly a sensible move to allow staff to become familiar with Terminal 8 and address any teething problems before moving the evening bank of departures from Terminal 7.
AA & BA at Terminal 8
AA & BA have promised a new premium check-in area at Terminal 8, as well as a three new or refurbished new lounges.
The airlines are yet to provide any further detail on these beyond the CGI renderings released earlier this year.
As ever, all plans are subject to change at short notice.
