Cathay Pacific has long been known for its highly regarded portfolio of lounges at its hub at Hong Kong International airport.

These lounges comprise The Bridge, The Pier, The Wing, The Cabin and The Arrival.

The airline has today reopened the first class lounge at The Pier.


Designed by London based agency Studioilse (who also designed the recently refurbished lounges at Tokyo Haneda and Bangkok) the lounge is a continuation of Cathay Pacific’s brand strategy “Life Well Travelled”.

Cathay Pacific offers special fares from London Heathrow to Australia, New Zealand and Fiji

Cathay Pacific has launched a fare sale for travel from London Heathrow (via Hong Kong) for travel to Australia (Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane, Cairns, Sydney and Melbourne), New Zealand and Fiji.

There are sale offers for both economy and business class. However, not all destinations are on offer in economy.

Bookings must be made by 17 March 2015 for travel between 13 April and 12 May 2015 in economy and 1 April 2015 and 31 May 2016 in business class. There are also minimum and maximum stay requirements.

Bookings are non-refundable but can be changed for a fee.

The economy fares do look very good value from £531. The business class fares less so from £3,909 for travel from London. It should be noted that business class fares are substantially cheaper travelling from Manchester.

Cathay Pacific launches its latest brand advertising campaign #lifewelltravelled

Cathay Pacific has launched its first over-arching brand campaign since the airline undertook a very subtle rebranding exercise last year.

The campaign emphasises how Cathay Pacific’s Asian hospitality and attention to detail improves the travel experience for passengers, whether the frequent business traveller or occasional passenger, and makes “Life Well Travelled”.

In keeping with its stated brand philosophy “Softly spoken. Strongly felt.”, Cathay Pacific’s passengers take centre stage in the campaign.

It is supported by a dedicated Cathay Pacific microsite which features contributions from the airline’s staff and frequent travellers. The campaign also features regular postings on Cathay Pacific’s Instagram account.
