British Airways makes tactical long-haul cancellations for its Summer 2013 schedule

British Airways has confirmed that it has made a number of tactical cancellations to its long-haul schedule for the summer 2013 season. The reason for this is operational and a lack of serviceable aircraft. This seems to have been a problem for some time as BA took the unprecedented step of wet-leasing an aircraft Titan Airways to operate a LHR-JFK flight over Easter and is likely caused in part by delays to 787 deliveries and operational issues with other aircraft.

The airline has not given details of specific cancellations but what details are known are on BA’s trade website.
