Virgin Atlantic has today announced that it is to suspend its five weekly service from London Heathrow to Accra in Ghana from 23 September 2013, when the last service to Accra will operate.

British Airways to codeshare with Bangkok Airways to Phuket, Koh Samui and Chiang Mai

British Airways has today confirmed that it is, with immediate effect, to offer codeshares with Bangkok Airways on flights from Bangkok to Phuket, Koh Samui, Chiang Mai, and from Singapore to Koh Samui. These are three of the eight destinations in Thailand served by Bangkok Airways.

British Airways makes tactical long-haul cancellations for its Summer 2013 schedule

British Airways has confirmed that it has made a number of tactical cancellations to its long-haul schedule for the summer 2013 season. The reason for this is operational and a lack of serviceable aircraft. This seems to have been a problem for some time as BA took the unprecedented step of wet-leasing an aircraft Titan Airways to operate a LHR-JFK flight over Easter and is likely caused in part by delays to 787 deliveries and operational issues with other aircraft.

The airline has not given details of specific cancellations but what details are known are on BA’s trade website.

British Airways has announced that it will increase its flights from London Heathrow to Seattle from 7 to 10 weekly from 3 April 2013.
