Delta Airlines to launch seasonal London Heathrow – Salt Lake City route from Sunday 1 May 2016

Delta Airlines continues its steady transatlantic growth at London Heathrow with the launch a new route to Salt Lake City in Utah from Sunday 1 May 2016.

The flight will initially operate on a summer seasonal basis. This will be the only direct flight from London Heathrow to Utah. Delta will also offer passengers connections to some 50 cities from Salt Lake City.

Flights will be operated with a Boeing 767-300 aircraft, with a two class (business & economy) service. Flights will depart from London Heathrow Terminal 4.

Delta moves Atlanta and Seattle flights to London Heathrow Terminal 4

We’re not quite sure what has prompted this but the co-location of Delta and Virgin Atlantic flights in Terminal 3 has been partially reversed, with Delta’s daily flights to Atlanta and Seattle moved to London Heathrow Terminal 4.

As of today, the split of Delta operated flights at London Heathrow is:

Delta Air Lines opens a new arrivals lounge at London Heathrow Terminal 3

Delta Air Lines has today announced the opening of a new arrivals lounge for eligible passengers at London Heathrow Terminal 3.

This is a sign of Delta’s continued investment in the London Heathrow market.

The arrivals lounge is located in arrivals hall of Terminal 3.

Delta BusinessElite passengers and SkyMiles Diamond and Platinum Medallion members arriving from the United States have access to the lounge.

The lounge features 11 shower suites and clothes press and shoe shine services.

Breakfast includes Starbucks Coffee, fresh fruit, pastries, yoghurt and cereals and a prepared to order a la carte menu. Wi-Fi is available throughout the lounge, plus a business centre and a selection of the day’s newspapers.

The lounge is open from 6am to 2pm, daily.

Delta Airlines adds to Heathrow presence with launch of London Heathrow – Philadelphia route

Delta Airlines continues to expand its presence at London Heathrow with the launch of a new route from the airport to Philadelphia on 8 April 2015, the airline confirmed today.

The flight will operate from Terminal 4, and be operated by a Boeing 757 aircraft in a two class (economy and business class) configuration.

The route will also be offered as a codeshare with its transatlantic joint-venture partner Virgin Atlantic.

American Airlines, British Airways, Delta Airlines & Virgin Atlantic gear up for battle on London Heathrow – New York route

If there’s one long-haul route from London that is more coveted than any other, it has to be the London Heathrow to New York route.

In 2013, some 4.2 million passengers flew in both directions between London and New York. This is more than Chicago, Los Angeles and Miami combined.

British Airways offers complimentary Executive Club Silver cards to Blue & Bronze members

We’re not quite sure what has prompted this, but British Airways has today e-mailed large numbers of members of its Executive Club who hold blue or bronze cards offering a complimentary Silver card (which affords privileges such as access to business class check-in desks and lounges) if they book a business class return from London to New York (subject to certain booking restrictions) in the next 90 days.

Delta to move London – New York, Boston and Seattle flights to London Heathrow Terminal 3

Virgin Atlantic and Delta have been busy putting the final touches to their transatlantic joint-venture which launches next year.

Scheduled to Boston and New York have been tweaked. Delta launches a daily flight to Seattle on 29 March 2014 and a second daily flight to Detroit on 9 June 2014.

In the most significant move to date, Delta is relocating its services from London Heathrow to Boston, New York and Seattle from Heathrow Terminal 4 to Terminal 3 from 2 April 2014.
